Specify Access Control for a Package
The Access page allows you to specify the users and user groups that have access to a selected package. Access control can be specified whether the package is published or unpublished. By default, only the creator of the package and the system administrator have access privileges for the package.

Access control privileges assigned here apply only to the selected package. An administrator can assign access control privileges to user groups that apply to all packages.

To specify access control, complete the following steps:
The Access page appears, listing the users and user groups that have been granted access privileges directly to this package.

Only access privileges assigned through the Specify Access Control page are listed. Access privileges assigned by an administrator to user groups for all packages in > > do not appear in the list.

2. Ensure that the package for which you want to specify access is displayed in the Selected Package field.
This field displays the last package that was created or the last package that was selected. If you want to specify access control for a different package, click

and select the correct package from the
Find Packages page.
3. Search for and select a user or a user group from the Select User or Select User Group fields.
4. In the
Select Access Control list, select the privilege for the selected user or user group and click

:
◦ View & Deploy—The user or members of the user group can view and deploy the selected package. A user or user group must have the View & Deploy privilege to have the Edit & Publish or Delete privileges.
◦ Edit & Publish—The user or members of the user group can edit and publish the selected package while it is unpublished.
◦ Delete—The user or members of the user group can delete the selected package.
The selected user or user group appears in the Users or Users Groups table with the assigned access privilege.
5. To add multiple users or user groups, or to add additional privileges for a user or user group, repeat the above steps.
6. If you want to remove privileges from a user or user group, select an entry in the
Users or
Users Groups table, and click

. To remove all specified access privileges from the package, click
DELETE ALL.
7. Click NEXT.
The Publish Package page appears.
