Access Control
From Administration > CONFIGURATION > Access Control, an administrator can assign access control privileges for packages to user groups. These privileges determine which user groups can view and perform other actions on packages throughout Software Content Management.

Access control privileges assigned here apply to all packages. To assign access control privileges for a specific package, see Specify Access Control for a Package.
Assign Package Privileges
To assign access control privileges to a user group, complete the following steps:
1. From the navigation pane, under the Administration section, click CONFIGURATION > Access Control. The Access Control page appears.
2. Click Add Group to open the Add Group page.
3. On the Add Group page, under Select Group, click Search groups to select the user group.
4. Under Assign Package Privileges, select the privilege or privileges to assign to the selected group. You can manually select the privileges or click Select All to select all privileges. By default, no privileges are selected.
View & Deploy—The members of the user group can view and deploy the package. A user group must have the View & Deploy privilege to have the Edit & Publish or Delete privileges.
Edit & Publish—The user or members of the user group can edit and publish the package.
Delete—The user or members of the user group can delete the package.
5. Click Save to assign the selected privileges to the selected group.
The group and the privileges assigned appear in the list on the Access Control page.

Do not manually edit the members of the following user groups in ThingWorx Composer:
TW.SCM.UserGroup.DeployPackages
TW.SCM.UserGroup.EditPublishPackages
TW.SCM.UserGroup.DeletePackages
Edit Package Privileges
To edit the privileges assigned to a user group, complete the following steps:
1. On the Access Control page, select the user group.
2. Click Edit.
3. On the Edit Group page, modify the privileges assigned to the user group as needed.
4. Click Save.
The modified privileges for the group are displayed in the list on the Access Control page.
Remove Package Privileges
To remove all privileges assigned to a user group, complete the following steps:
1. On the Asset Control page, select the user group.
2. Click Remove.
3. A pop up appears confirming the removal. Click Remove to remove the privileges.
The group is removed from the list on the Access Control page.
