Managing Items on the Canvas
Copying, Cutting, and Pasting Items
When you cut or move widgets within or between containers, existing connections are retained. When you copy, new entities are created and you must create any new bindings manually.
To copy and paste:
1. On the canvas, select the items that you want to move.
2. Click Copy on the toolbar.
3. Select a container to place the selection, and then click Paste to paste.
Alternatively, select items that you want to copy, hold the ALT key, and then drag onto the new location.

2. Click Cut on the toolbar.
3. Select a container to place the selection, and then click Paste to paste.

When you cut, existing bindings are retained.
To copy or cut all content within a container:
1. Select the container on the canvas or on the Explorer panel.
2. On the canvas toolbar, click Cut to cut or Copy to copy.
3. Select the container that you want to paste the selected items to and click Paste to paste.

You cannot use keyboard shortcuts to perform this action.
Moving Widgets Using the Explorer Panel
You can use the Explorer panel to move widgets within and between containers. For example, you can move one or more widgets to a new container or change the order of widgets within the container. To move an item, select it, and then click and drag to rearrange the widget order, or place the selected widgets onto a different container.
You can select multiple items in the Explorer panel in one of the following ways:
To add items to a selection, hold the CTRL key and then click the items that you want to add.
To select all items in a container, hold the SHIFT key, and then click the first and last items.
Deleting Items
1. Select one or more items on the canvas or on the Explorer panel.
2. Press the DELETE key.
Alternatively, click Delete on the Properties panel.
3. In the confirmation dialog box, click Yes.
