SCIM Prerequisites

If you plan to use Microsoft Entra ID SCIM provisioning, you must use a publicly-signed certificate when installing ThingWorx

|
Microsoft Entra ID SCIM provisioning will not work over a secured channel (HTTPS) unless a publicly-signed certificate is in use.
|
• Configure ThingWorx with Microsoft Entra ID authentication capabilities according to the procedures in Configuring Authentication with Microsoft Entra ID.
• For additional information about the Microsoft Entra ID SSO capabilities, refer to the Single Sign-on Authentication topic.
SCIM Setup
Once the prerequisites are completed, perform the following steps:
1. Stop the ThingWorx server.
2. Add SCIM settings to platform-settings.json and sso-settings.json: Configure SCIM Platform Settings and SSO Settings.
3. Start the ThingWorx server.
