ThingWorx Apps comes with predefined equipment types and equipment relationships for a defined equipment structure. You can extend the predefined equipment types, create your own equipment types, and establish the relationships between equipment types to create an equipment structure that suits your needs. This is achieved by:

• Defining the equipment types, including the Thing Template and configuration menu used for the equipment type

• Defining the valid relationships between equipment types

These definitions are performed on the Configuration page of the launch point configuration Thing (PTC.Factory.C_LaunchPointconfigurationThing_[ReleaseVersion]).
