Working With Project Configuration
When dispatchers and project managers publish a Project, Work Order records are created in Salesforce for Project Tasks. Work Order records are then synced back to Service Board as Job records, and Appointments are automatically created and assigned to Resources based on the values set in Project Task records.
For Project functionality to work properly, the following conditions must be met:
All Project Tasks must have active Resources assigned, and any users related to assigned Resources must be active.
Appropriate batch size settings for publishing Project Tasks must be implemented.
Appropriate deferred operation timeout values for publishing Projects must be implemented.
Appropriate currency values must be set in the .mpp file.
Salesforce-to-Service Board real-time sync should not be configured to filter out Jobs created from Project Tasks.
Jobs created from Project Tasks must not be dispatched or rescheduled before Projects are fully published.
Projects should not be published during or close to a scheduled maintenance window.
