Moving Work Order Events Outside Technician Business Hours
The work order changes are not accepted by RTO if the dispatcher reschedules an RTO scheduled work order to a timeslot which is outside the technician or territory business hours. The rescheduling is invalid because it is outside the technician or territory business hours. RTO schedules the work order again.
If the dispatcher tries to reschedule a work order to a slot that is outside the technician business hours:
• Work order is not scheduled for the slot.
• Work order remains unscheduled, and is considered by RTO for scheduling again.
• RTO ensures that the work order is scheduled within the business hours of the technician or territory.
For example:
• The technician business hours are 10 AM to 5 PM, and RTO has scheduled a work order for the technician at 2 PM.
• Dispatcher tries to reschedule the work order to 7 PM manually. The OPT_ERROR field of the work order is updated, and the work order qualifies for scheduling again.
• RTO schedules the work order at 11 AM next day.

In unavoidable scenarios, the dispatcher might want to schedule work orders outside the technician business hours because of business reasons. In such a scenario, they must ensure that the work order does not qualify for the RTO dispatch process. RTO does not reschedule the work orders that do not qualify for the RTO dispatch process.
