Locking Work Orders
Scheduling Optimization provides you the ability to lock a scheduled work order either to a fixed time and technician, or to an arrival window with the flexibility of any qualified technician attending to it.
Locking a work order indicates to Schedule Optimization the locked parameter should be respected by Schedule Optimization while scheduling.
Examples:
• If you lock a work order to a fixed window, the work order is scheduled at that time. However, RTO has the flexibility to schedule the work order to any suitable technician.
• If you lock the work order with technician assignment and the timeslot, RTO schedules the work order only to the specified technician in the specified timeslot.

You can lock work orders only if the scheduling status is Tentative.
