Configurable Priority-Based Scheduling
Configure priority-based scheduling so the system consistently schedules urgent work orders before lower-priority work across all planning horizons.
The Schedule Optimization initiates an optimization cycle with multiple work orders of differing priority levels competing for limited capacity. An Operations Manager defines configurable priority rules that govern how the optimization schedules work orders. It applies these rules consistently across Current Day Optimization (CDO), Batch Optimization, and Long-Term Planning (LTP).
This ensures urgent work receives precedence and service commitments are met.
Example
The Schedule Optimization receives two work orders:
WO-00000101 with Priority = Urgent (SLA breach risk).
WO-00000102 with Priority = Medium.
The system identifies limited available technician capacity and evaluates priority levels during optimization. It schedules WO-00000101 before WO-00000102, even though WO-00000102 was created earlier.
The system defers or reschedules WO-00000102 if capacity remains insufficient.
Result
The Schedule Optimization consistently prioritizes urgent work and protects service-level commitments.
