Auto-Schedule Past-Due Work Orders for the Current Day
Automatically roll forward and schedule past-due work orders in the current day’s optimization cycle to prevent missed service commitments.
A work order becomes past due and remains unstarted or incomplete at the time the system initiates a Current Day Optimization (CDO) cycle. A Dispatcher relies on the system to detect past-due work orders that technicians did not pick up or complete. The system automatically includes these work orders in Current Day Optimization (CDO) and schedules them based on priority, availability, and routing constraints. This ensures overdue work is recovered without manual rescheduling.
Example
The Schedule Optimization detects that Work Order WO-00000450 was scheduled for the previous day but remains uncompleted and marks it as past due. It initiates the next Current Day Optimization (CDO) cycle and includes WO-00000450 in the same-day scheduling pool.
The Optimization Engine evaluates technician availability, skills, priority level, and routing constraints and assigns WO-00000450 to a qualified available technician and recalculates ETAs.
Result
The system automatically recovers overdue work and maintains service commitments without requiring manual intervention by the Dispatcher.
