What's Changed
The following are the changes in ServiceMax Core 24.1.
Web App
Navigation Change in Connected Field Service in ServiceMax Setup
The Connected Field Service is now moved under the Product Integration section in the ServiceMax Setup, which will be used for any integration configurations going forward. The navigation to the following pages has changed:
The IoT Setup page is now accessible on ServiceMax Setup > Product Integration > IoT-Connected Field Service Setup.
For more information, see IoT Setup for Administrators.
The Installed Base Setup page is now accessible on ServiceMax Setup > Installed Base, Preventive Maintenance and Field Change Order > Connected Field Service-Installed Base App Setup.
IB Hierarchy Service Console Navigation
The reference record in the IB Hierarchy view now opens in the sub-tab of the console session per the service console navigation behavior. Previously, the reference records opened in multiple browser tabs for each record accessed.
Upgrade Considerations
Upgrade Process Consolidation
The two-step upgrade process is now available under the Upgrade Considerations and Migration section. Previously, the upgrade process information was spread across different sections. For more information, see Upgrade Process.
Static Resource Cleanup
As part of the static resource cleanup, the following changes are implemented:
Some static resource files are emptied and visible as managed static resources in the org. The admin does not need to take any action regarding this change.
Some of the static resource files are deleted from the managed package. The admin can manually delete these files from their respective orgs post-package upgrade.
For more information, see Static Resource Clean-up.
