This document lists the Schedule Optimization server upgrade updates for December 2023.
Upgrade to ServiceMax 23.2
This server upgrade updates the Schedule Optimization product to version 23.2 and makes all the new features, enhancements, and fixes in ServiceMax 23.2 available.

Feature Improvement
Improved Input Data Validation for Optimization Jobs
The input data for optimization now undergoes enhanced validation. This enhancement helps in filtering out invalid data, resulting in better-optimized schedules.
• Work orders, technicians, and events with invalid data such as invalid geocode, preferred start and end dates, and duration are marked as incorrect data and are not considered for optimization.
• Invalid manual schedules such as schedules with incorrect overtime or distances created by end-users such as dispatchers, which negatively influence the optimization, are not considered for optimization.
• Enhanced data validation applies to the following types of optimizations:

◦ Long-Term Planner
