Performing Config Sync
Android and iOS
Configuration Sync downloads the latest configuration changes to the ServiceMax Go app and resolves any sync errors. Some of the configuration changes include:
• Objects
• Fields
• SFM transactions
• SFM searches
• SFM wizards
A notification dot appears on the More menu and also on the Sync option when a new configuration sync is triggered. A New Configuration Sync Update Required message is displayed next to the Run Configuration Sync settings. When the elapsed time is past, a pop-up notification is displayed on all the Go app base screens with the configuration sync message.
To perform the configuration sync:
1. Navigate to > .

The Run Configuration Sync option is displayed with the red notification indicator.

2. Tap Run Config Sync.
3. Tap Perform Config Sync to proceed.
Configuration Sync Management
The administrator can configure to download the latest configuration on your device. The configuration can be set to:
• Get a notification when the updates are available. You can choose to download the updates now or later.
• Get frequent reminders to download the latest configuration. You can choose to download the updates now or later.
• Force-downloads the latest configuration updates when the time set by the administrator for manual configuration sync is elapsed. The force-download occurs when:
◦ The app is launched afresh.
◦ The app is re-launched if the app is terminated either by the user or by the operating system.

It is recommended not to stop the configuration sync process by minimizing or closing the application when the sync is in progress.

Windows

A confirmation window is displayed to confirm the action.
3. Click Continue to proceed.

When data sync is in progress, you must manually perform the config sync operation. You must have network connectivity to perform config sync. You cannot use the app when configuration sync is in progress.
