When using the app on a Windows laptop, the locally stored records can be accessed through third-party applications using the ServiceMax Laptop Data Access API feature. This enables offline data to be directly accessed by third-party applications through a defined interface, respecting all security requirements. Using the Data Access API's, you can perform CRUD operations on locally available records. To delete local unsynced records, you do not need delete permission on the object. To delete synced records with salesforce ID, you need delete permission on the object.

Clicking View API Key in the About section in the Tools page displays the API key in a popup screen. Click Close and Copy to Clipboard to copy the API key. This API key can be used as a parameter value in Custom Actions of Type URL to launch third-party applications.
