The Installed Base tree is a multi-tiered hierarchical representation of your installed product and location. It shows the various installed products in the context of where they are physically located under a particular account. This makes it easier to know what's actually available in a particular location / account, easily locate the required installed products quickly, and update their attributes. It also supports addition of new installed products and locations within a given hierarchy, and capture topographical changes by dragging and dropping of location and IB nodes to the right level in the tree.
