Drag and Drop
When you want to change the location of an installed product or change the parent of an installed product, you can drag and drop the record to the required location. The record's parent field gets set to the new value-based where it is dropped. If the record that you are moving has children records, all of them are also moved along with the parent record. A location record cannot be dropped under an installed product record.
While dragging the record, a green plus sign (
) indicates if the record can be dropped at the current location of the mouse-pointer / cursor. A red stop sign (
) indicates that the record cannot be dropped at the current location of the mouse pointer /cursor.
) indicates if the record can be dropped at the current location of the mouse-pointer / cursor. A red stop sign () indicates that the record cannot be dropped at the current location of the mouse pointer /cursor.Drag and Drop is now supported on both FSA for Windows laptops and all touch-enabled devices (iPad, Android tab).
The following screenshot illustrates the behavior:
- You will not be able to drag and drop any unsynced installed product or location, when an aggressive sync or data sync is in progress. You will have to wait until the sync is completed to perform this operation.
- You will not be able to drag and drop a record which is already synced to the server under a record that is yet to be synced to the server.
