Attach File to Selected Work Order from Third-Party App
FSA enables third-party apps to share a file to FSA as an attachment to Work Order record. This attachment is also saved and synced back to the server. The supported file types that can be shared to FSA from the third-party app are pdf, doc, docx, xls, xlsx, tif, tiff, png, jpeg, jpg, heif or heic (high efficiency image file format). Third-party app always initiates sharing one at a time.
Key Points to Remember
Inline viewing of heif or heic filetypes are not supported.
Ensure that the attached file size is not be more than 25 MB.
When a file of type heif or heic is shared, it is displayed as an attachment under Attached Documents.
Supported only for Work Order object.
Work Order should be mandatorily associated to an Account.
Account should be part of Download Criteria.
Only recently viewed Work Orders are listed. You can also search for Work Orders and share.
Third-party apps like Adobe Reader, Dropbox, Google Drive, are supported to share a file to FSA.
Native apps like Photos are not supported to share a file.
Ensure not to share a file when sync is in progress or when the app is inactive.
