Running the Configurator
To run the Configurator
1. Click the configuration link from the ServiceMax welcome email, or copy and paste it into a web browser URL. The web page link is https://configure.servicemax.com/. The ServiceMax Configurator page is displayed.

If Configurator is currently unavailable because of scheduled maintenance, a notification message is displayed. You can use the tool after the downtime period is over. An alert is displayed about the scheduled maintenance downtime, 72 hours in advance. This helps you to plan your configuration tasks accordingly.
2. Enter the details for the fields as described in the following table:
Field

Deploy To
Specify the type of your Salesforce org. If you selected I have a custom Salesforce domain, enter the custom domain in the field.
Email ID
Specify a valid Email address in the Email ID field. An email is sent to this email address upon completion of the process.
Installation Key
Specify the ServiceMax installation key in the Installation Key field. Raise a case with ServiceMax Support requesting an installation key for the relevant version.
Deployment Options
Select the deployment options. For more information, see Configurator Deployment Options.
3. Click Login with Salesforce. The Salesforce Login page is displayed.
4. Enter your Salesforce user name and password, and then click Log in to Salesforce. The Salesforce Permission Request page is displayed.
5. Click Allow. A message is displayed indicating configuration deployment is in progress.

You can either close the browser window or navigate to any other page. An email is sent indicating the status of configuration deployment after the completion of the process. Additionally, you can view the log file in the Notes & Attachments section of the ServiceMax Job record.
