Work Order Generation Status on PM Schedule in 23.2
The Work Order Generation Status field indicates whether the PM Schedule has been processed into a PM Work Order or not. This new field is introduced on the PM Schedule object of the PM Plan. Instead of deleting the PM Schedule records, the system updates the PM Schedule Work Order Generation Status. This improves the audit trail for PM Plans.
The PM engine only processes the PM Schedules with a specific status. For example,
When the PM engine is generating the work orders, the Work Order Generation Status is In Progress. For example, for the Recurring PM Plans.
When the PM engine has finished generating all the Work Orders for a recurring or non-recurring PM Schedule line on a PM Plan, then the Work Order Generation Status is changed to Completed.
When the PM engine fails to generate Work Orders, the PM Schedule is rolled back without changing the Work Order Generation Status. The partially generated Work Orders are deleted.
The following screen displays the Work Order Generation Status on the PM Schedule:
Also, the PM Schedule information from which the Work Order was generated is also added to the PM History record. The following screen displays the PM History record with the PM Schedule information. This creates a junction relationship between the PM Schedule that has been processed and the PM Work Order generated from it.
