Performing Auto-Entitlement
To perform automatic entitlement on the Work Order/Case, perform the following steps:
1. Navigate to Home > ServiceMax Setup > App Administration > Configuration Profiles. Select the Profile and then click Edit.
2. For performing auto-entitlement on a Work Order, enable the setting SET001 (available under Entitlement Verification module > Auto-Entitlement - Work Order) to True. For performing auto-entitlement on a Case, enable the setting SET001 (available under Entitlement Verification module > Auto-Entitlement - Case) to True.
3. For configuring auto-entitlements rules, navigate to Home > ServiceMax Setup> Warranties & Service Contracts > Auto Entitlement Rules - Work Order. In the case of performing auto-entitlement from a case, to navigate to Home > ServiceMax Setup> Warranties & Service Contracts > Auto Entitlement Rules - Case.
4. Create a new entitlement rule and move it to top. Refer to Auto-Entitlement Rules for more information on how to create auto entitlement rules.
5. Click Save.
6. Click Submit.
7. Select the Work Order/Case on which you want to perform the entitlement verification.
8. Enable the Perform Auto Entitlement field.
9. Click Save.
The Is Entitlement Performed and Auto Entitlement fields will be populated automatically. If the entitlement status is successful, the entitlement related fields (warranty/contract) get populated with the applicable warranty/contract details.
