Metric Data Generation
Metrics are automatically generated by SPM Engine on schedule with the following results.
SPM MTBF record is created for every installed product per run for the Multiple MTBF option. A single SPM MTBF record is created per installed product and the same record is updated in every run when the option is selected as Single MTBF. The following types of additional contract filters are applied:
Records that are created/modified within ‘n’ days prior to the SPM engine execution date for computing MTBF metric, where ‘n’ is the value of the SET0010 setting.
Records that were created/modified within 'n' days prior to the SPM engine execution date for computing MTBF metric, where 'n' is the value of SET0010 (default: 365 days).
None of the Work Order/Down Time fields taken as source fields for SPM – Mean Time Between Failure records are blank.
SPM Down Time Detail records are created, directly from the qualifying Work Order records, or from the Down Time records of qualifying work orders.
Refer to the Metrics Calculation section for the metric generation logic. It provides the details of mapping attributes from the source object to the metric object.
One ServiceMax Job record is created per scheduled run, with the execution log recorded in an attachment (includes batch & record count, and record details)
ServiceMax Job records older than a month (not configurable) are deleted.
Email notifications are sent about job execution status (success/failure), with details of the execution.
