Labels and Messages
The labels and messages displayed in ServiceMax screens are configured as Salesforce Custom Labels. This ensures translatability and ability to override them with more specific terminology to your business using the Salesforce Translation Workbench. For the languages supported out-of-the-box by ServiceMax, translations are included in the ServiceMax package by default.
There is a huge number of custom labels in ServiceMax. To easily locate any required label for the purpose of overriding its value or translating it, the labels are organized under ServiceMax submodules, with submodules grouped under ServiceMax modules. A Module is a logical grouping of related functionalities. A Submodule is a specific functionality within a module.
Association of custom labels with submodules is achieved using the naming convention of custom labels, wherein each label name has the submodule ID as the prefix. Additionally, the custom label categories include the submodule ID, submodule name, and module ID to quickly search for the required labels.
