Disabling Auto Entitlement for multiple Service Contracts or Warranties
You can configure auto-entitlement to automatically disable a work order when it finds two or more applicable service contracts and/or warranties. If you select to disable the Auto-Entitlement option, the engine stops the auto-entitlement process and updates the Work Order's entitlement status field with an alert. You can run manual entitlement in these cases.
If you select the option to disable Auto-Entitlement, the engine will stop the auto-entitlement process and updates the following fields on the Work Order:
Auto Entitlement Status = Failed
Entitlement Notes = Work Order has Multiple Valid Entitlements
To disable the auto-entitlement option:
In the Choose Entitlement Settings, Select Yes next to the option If multiple warranties and/or service contracts are found, do you want to disable Auto-Entitlement? If you want to disable the auto entitlement option in the case of two or more applicable service contracts or/and warranties. Otherwise, select No.
*
The auto-disablement option is not available for Product Service Lines (Child Lines). If you select Yes for the option Should entitlement be performed on Products Serviced? IfYes, and there are no Products Serviced, no entitlements will be applied, and the auto-disablement option is disabled.
If you enable the auto disablement option, if there is only one service contract/warranty, the engine picks up the warranty/service contract. If the engine finds two or more contracts/warranties at the Installed Base, Top, and Parent levels, it stops the auto-entitlement process.
