Configuring Auto-Entitlement as an ‘After Save’ Webservice
You can configure Auto-Entitlement to run as an After Save web service on an SFM Transaction, as an alternative approach to the standard auto-entitlement functionality. In the standard functionality, a new work order is created with child records using the Create Work Order SFM option with the Perform auto-entitlement checkbox as enabled.
If you enable the new webservice while creating work orders with work detail lines, then the Auto-Entitlement will run on both Work Order header and child records after the SFM Transaction completes its saves action.
*
This webservice works only for interactive SFM Transactions. It will not work on background SFMs such as scheduled SFMs.
To configure this webservice, follow the below steps:
1. Enable the Setting SET006 under the Entitlement Verification module > Auto-Entitlement -WorkOrder to True.
*
The default value for this setting is FALSE. If the value is updated to TRUE, then an admin user must configure the SFM Transaction with the webservice, otherwise auto-entitlement will not run at all.
2. Configure the SVMXC__SFM_WebServicesDef.updateWoAfterSave webservice method event on the SFM.
