Adding Mileage Tier
You can define distance-based travel pricing for a service contract, based on mileage tiers defined in a service plan. Mileage tiers allow you to apply specific travel rates based on distance ranges, ensuring accurate billing for travel over varying distances. You can add new mileage tiers or clone existing ones to simplify configuration.
To add mileage tier record:
1. Go to ServiceMax Setup > Warranties & Service Contracts > Service Plans.
The Service Plans page is displayed. By default, the Service Plans page displays only recently viewed service plans.

Alternatively, access the Service Plans page by clicking the App Launcher, typing Service Plans in the search bar, and selecting it from the results.
2. To view all service plans, click All Service Plans from the list view dropdown.
3. In the Service Plan Name column, select the required service plan name.
The selected Service Plan record page is displayed.
4. In the Edit Service Plan Travel Policy wizard, under the Lines section, select the Mileage Tier tab.
5. Click Add Mileage Tier.
A new row is created in the Mileage Tier tab.
6. Provide the details for the fields as described in the following table.
Field
Description
Tier Name
Displays the name of the mileage tier used for travel pricing. Enter a unique name for the mileage tier.
Minimum
Displays the minimum distance value for the mileage tier. Enter the starting mileage value for the tier.
Maximum
Displays the maximum distance value for the mileage tier. Enter the highest mileage value that applies to the tier.
Unit
Displays the unit used to calculate the travel rate. The available options are:
Flat Rate: Applies a fixed travel charge for the defined distance range.
Per Mile/Km: Calculates travel charges based on the number of miles or kilometers travelled.
Select the appropriate unit for the mileage tier.
Rate
Displays the travel rate applied for the selected mileage tier. Enter the rate value (flat rate or per mile) according to your pricing policy.
Currency ISO Code
Displays the currency used for the milage tier rate (for example, Australian Dollar, U.S. Dollar). Select the correct currency code from the list.

You can clone a row in Mileage Tier tab. Select the down arrow icon next to an existing mileage tier record, and then select Clone. A new row is created, and you can modify the details as needed.
7. To save the changes and to stay on the Mileage Tier page, click Quick Save.

8. To save the changes and navigate back to the Details tab, click Save.
In the Related tab of the Service Plan record page, under Mileage Tiers related list, you can view all mileage tier records for the selected service plan.
