Service Product
Service product is an installed product that needs to be serviced. All products that needs to be serviced for the work order are added as service product entries. For more information, see Managing Service Products.
The service product defines what service is being provided, to which product, and under what coverage, such as warranty, service contract, or billable.

Key Benefits of Using Service Products
Different coverage for each service
Assign distinct coverage—such as warranty, contract, or billable—to each service, even if the product is the same. Supports automated billing, service validation, and cost tracking. For example, one product may be under contract, another under warranty, and a third out of scope and billed separately. All handled within a single work order using distinct service products. Within the same product, one service can be covered under warranty while another is under contract.
Track progress and completion per service
Each service product, paired with a work plan, represents a specific product under service. Supports tracking of task progress, time spent, and work completion for each installed product. For example, a technician is assigned to a hospital for maintenance on multiple pieces of equipment. Each service is tracked separately under the same work order. Completion status is recorded per service.
