The Asset field is used to indicate on a Product Request which specific asset to return to the customer. This is often necessary after a completed Depot Repair of a customer asset, upon which the user requests the Warehouse to prepare the specific Asset for shipment back to the customer. A Product Request (with accompanying Product Request Line Item) is created to return the specific asset, and the Warehouse will create a Shipment tied to this request to indicate the Asset has shipped out.Note that this field is also used to create product requests (with accompanying Product Request Line Items) to prepare shipment of a particular asset back to a OEM supplier for repair, or when sending a loaner asset to the customer during repairs.
