Creating Entitlement Rule
The application allows you to create entitlement rules for cases, work orders, and return orders.
To create a rule, perform the following steps:
1. Log in to Asset 360 with your credentials.
2. From the left navigation pane, click Entitlement > Automatic Rules. It displays the list of entitlement rules.
3. Click the New Rule button and select the object from the drop-down for which you want to create the rule. The Create Rule page is displayed as shown on the following screen:
4. Provide the details as explained in the following table, and then clickSave. A confirmation message is displayed after successful validation.
Field Name
Field Description
General Information
Fields marked with * are mandatory.
General Information
Rule Name*
Enter a name for the entitlement rule.
Object
This field is not editable. It is selected from your previous selection of objects while creating a new rule.
Developer Name*
The developer name is auto-populated from the Rule Name. Edit it as required.

The Developer Name must be unique.
Description
Enter a description of the entitlement rule.
Rule Active Checkbox
This checkbox indicates whether the new rule is active or inactive. By default, it is checked as Active. Deselect it to make it Inactive.
Qualifying Criteria
First Column (Field Type)*
Select a field from the drop-down list to set a rule.

Search for the required field. Enter at least three characters to get the related result.
Second Column (Operator)*
Select an operator from the drop-down list. The drop-down values depend on the field data type. Rules can be joined to one another with operators to create compound rules.
Third Column (Precedence)*
Select a value type from the drop-down list. It varies by the field data type. Operators are interpreted in a specific order, according to rules.

For Date and DateTime fields, a Function field is displayed to select date and time.
Fourth Column (Value or Comment)*
Enter your value or select the function based on the data type. This field depends on the field data type and operator combination.

• Field input text varies based on the field type and operator selected.
• For dates and times, the system considers as per locale.
Logic Box*
Enter the logic for processing the conditions. By default, the logic is set to AND.

The limit for this field is 255 characters.
Rule
This application allows you to create rules that are covered by account or asset.
• Refer to the Create Asset-Based Entitlement section to create rules that are based on the asset.
• Refer to the Create Account-Based Entitlement section to create rules that are based on the account.
