Managing the 3D Explorer Layout
Hide or show the parts structure panel and the 3D canvas to adjust the explorer layout, and continue using the AI chat alongside the 3D viewer.
The 3D Product Explorer layout consists of the AI chat panel on the left, the 3D canvas in the center, and the parts structure panel on the right. You can hide or show the parts structure panel and the 3D canvas independently to allocate screen space based on your current task. The AI chat panel remains fully functional while the 3D Product Explorer is open, allowing you to ask follow-up questions about the product or request specific part information while the 3D model remains visible and interactive.

• You must be logged in to the PTC Orbit application.
• You must have access to the AI Hub module.

Perform the following steps to manage the 3D Explorer layout.
1. Navigate to AI Hub from the left navigation menu.
The AI Hub chat interface displays with a text input field.
2. Open a product in the 3D Product Explorer from the AI Hub chat.
The 3D model renders on the canvas with the parts panel on the right.
3. To hide the parts structure panel, click the Hide parts structure 
button in the bottom-right corner of the parts panel.

4. To hide the 3D canvas, click the Hide canvas button (the > arrow icon) located to the right of the chat header area.

The selected item in the Canvas view, whether it is a 3D product or a chart, disappears when you click the Hide Canvas button. Clicking the same Show Canvas icon opens an empty canvas.

5. To continue the AI conversation alongside the 3D viewer, click inside the Ask Anything... text field at the bottom of the chat panel.
6. Type your follow-up question or request and press Enter or click the send button to submit it.
The AI assistant responds in the chat panel while the 3D model remains visible and interactive on the canvas.

AI-generated content is labeled with the disclaimer Content generated by AI. Give it a quick double-check at the bottom of the chat.

The 3D Explorer layout is adjusted based on your preferences. The parts structure panel and 3D canvas can be independently hidden or shown, and the AI chat remains fully functional alongside the 3D viewer for follow-up questions and product inquiries.
