Index (dictionary item)
For automation interface information about an Index, see Index (automation interface).
An Index specifies secondary access keys to a Table, together with relationships to specify links to other Tables. A Table can have many Indexes. Each Index has a unique name and comprises one or more columns. For each column you can specify a sort order.
You create an Index through the context menu of a Table in the Packages pane.

If you select the Proprietary\Indexes folder in the Dictionary pane, the Contents pane displays the following information about each Index in the model: Unique and Table (owning).
In the Modeler panes, a short-cut symbol on the Index's icon indicates that the item is a stub.
The following sections provide information about how an Index is used in the model. For more information about a property, item, model part or diagram, click it.
