Forecast (UPDM - NAF aliases)
Creation
To create a Forecast:
From an NSV-9 Technology and Skills Forecast Definition: click the Forecast button, click the Forecast button, click the forecast subject element, and then click the forecast outcome element.
The subject and outcome elements must be the same type and they can be as follows: Capability, Capability Configuration, Competence, Organization, Physical Architecture, Post, Resource Artifact, Responsibility, Service Access or Software elements.
From an NTV-2 Standards Definition: click the Forecast button, click the forecast subject element, and then click the forecast outcome element.
The subject and outcome elements must be the same type and they can be as follows: Functional Standard, Protocol, Standard or Technical Standard elements.
From a Forecast subject element: right-click Forecast subject element, point to Links, point to System, and then click Forecast Outcome. The Forecast subject and outcome elements must be the same type and they can be as follows: Capability, Capability Configuration, Competence, Functional Standard, Organization, Physical Architecture, Post, Protocol, Resource Artifact, Responsibility, Service Access, Standard, Software or Technical Standard elements.
After creating a Forecast, you can specify its start and end dates: right-click the Forecast, point to Set, and then click Start Date or End Date as appropriate.

When shown on an NSV-9 Technology and Skills Forecast Definition or NTV-2 Standards Definition, a Forecast appears as follows:
An NSV-9 Technology and Skills Forecast Table is useful for viewing how elements are related through Forecast relationships in a table.

Link a Forecast to Forecast Span Literal elements that define its span: right-click the Forecast, point to Links, and then click Span.
