Exchange element (UPDM - NAF aliases)

Creation

To create an Exchange Element:

• From an Architectural Description, Logical Data Model, Physical Data Model or Service Description: right on the element, point to New, point to NAF, point to All, and then click Exchange Element.

Exchange Element button, and then click in free space on the diagram.

Appearance

When shown on an NOV-7 Information Model or NSV-11 System Data Model, an Exchange Element appears as follows:

Relationships

The following relationships are of importance to an Exchange Element:

• Details relationships link the Exchange Element to related Entity Item elements.

• Used as a type for Resource Port elements.

• Used as a conveyed classifier for Control and Operational Exchange elements.
