Service channel (UPDM - DoDAF aliases)
Creation
To create a Service Channel:
• From an
OV-2 Operational Resource Flow Description or
SV-2 Systems Resource Flow Description: click the Shallow Service Channel or 
Shallow Uni-Directional Service Channel button, click the source
Service Port (Requires) or
Service Port (Provides), and then click the destination Service Port (Requires) or Service Port (Provides).

Service Port (Provides), and then click the destination Service Port (Requires) or Service Port (Provides).To create a Service Channel and the connecting Service Port (Requires) or Service Port (Provides) elements in one operation:

OV-2 Operational Resource Flow Description: click the 
Complete Service Channel button, click the source
Known Resource,
Performer Role or
Problem Domain, and then click the destination Known Resource, Performer Role or Problem Domain.
