Project milestone role (UPDM - DoDAF aliases)
Creation
To create a Project Milestone Role:
• From a Project Type: right-click the Project Type, point to New, point to DoDAF, and then click Project Milestone Role.
On the Select Type dialog, create or select the Project Milestone Type that is the classifier for the Project Milestone Role.
• From a PV-3 Project Type Definition: click the Composite Association button, click the owning Project Type, and then click the Project Milestone Type element that is the type of the Project Milestone Role.
• From a PV-3 Project Type Definition: click the Project Milestone Role button, and then click the owning Project Type.
On the Select Type dialog, create or select the Project Milestone Type that is the type for the Project Milestone Role.
Appearance
When shown on a PV-3 Project Type Definition, a Project Milestone Role appears as follows:
Note that when you create a Project Milestone Role through the Project Milestone Role button, the Project Milestone Role is created as a UML Attribute, rather than a UML Role, and it cannot be shown on the diagram as a Composite Association.
Relationships
There are no relationships that are of significant importance to a Project Milestone Role.
