Referencing a diagram from a statement on a sequence diagram
You use an Interaction Frame to reference a diagram (Sequence Diagram or General Flow Diagram) from a Statement.
To reference a diagram from a statement:
1. Create an Interaction Frame for the appropriate Statement. For more information, see Creating interaction frames on a sequence diagram.
2. Right-click the Interaction Frame, point to Referenced Diagram, and then click Link.
3. From the selection dialog, select the Sequence Diagram or General Flow Diagram you want to link, and then click OK.
The top left corner of the Frame Interaction text is changed to ref, and the name of the referenced diagram is displayed in the Frame Interaction.

You can link a diagram to an Interaction Frame by dragging the diagram from an appropriate pane to the Interaction Frame.
