Creating a state diagram
You can create a State Diagram as a child of a State Machine or Atomic State.
*
When you create a State Machine from a Class or Interface, Modeler also creates a State Diagram as a child of the new State Machine.
To create a state diagram for a state machine:
Right-click the State Machine that is to own the State Diagram, and select New > State Diagram.
When the UML Profile is present in the Model, you can create a State Diagram from an Actor, Class or Use Case (Modeler creates a State Machine to own the State Diagram):
Right-click an Actor, Class or Use Case, and select New > UML > State Diagram (via State Machine).
The State Machine is linked to the frame on the State Diagram.
To create a state diagram for an atomic state:
Right-click the Atomic State that is to own the State Diagram, and select New > State Diagram.
The Atomic State is linked to the frame on the State Diagram.
