Activity action (project) (UPDM - DoDAF aliases)
Creation
To create an Activity Action (Project):
From an Activity (Project): right-click the Activity (Project), point to New, point to DoDAF, and then click Activity Action (Project).
On the Select Type dialog, create or select the Activity (Project) that is invoked by the Activity Action (Project).
From a PV-2 Project Activity Hierarchy: click the Composite Association toolbar button, click the calling Activity (Project), and then click the called Activity (Project)
From a PV-2 Project Activity Model:
Click the Activity Action (Project) toolbar button, and then click in free space on the diagram. On the Select Type dialog, create or select the Activity (Project) that is invoked by the Activity Action (Project).
From an appropriate Modeler pane, locate the Activity (Project) element that will be invoked by the Activity Action (Project), and then drag that element to free space on the diagram.
On the Items tab of an Activity Action (Project) element's property pages, you can view and navigate to the Activity (Project) that is invoked by the Activity Action (Project) through the Linked Item association.
Input Pins and Output Pins
An Activity Action (Project) can own Input Pin (Project) and Output Pin (Project) elements.
On creation of an Activity Action (Project), Modeler creates an Input Pin (Project) or Output Pin (Project) to represent each Parameter (Project) of the Activity (Project) that is used as the type of the Activity Action (Project).
Note that after creating an Activity Action (Project), Input Pin (Project) and Output Pin (Project) elements are not automatically created for new Parameter (Project) elements that are created on the associated Activity (Project).
