Entity item (UPDM - DoDAF aliases)
Creation
To create an Entity Item:
From a Logical Data Model or Internal Data Model: right-click the Logical Data Model or Internal Data Model, point to New, point to DoDAF, point to Data and Information, and then click Entity Item.
From a DIV-2 Information Model or DIV-3 Physical Data Model, click the Entity Item toolbar button, and then click in free space on the diagram.
Appearance
When shown on a DIV-2 Information Model or DIV-3 Physical Data Model, an Entity Item appears as follows:
Relationships
The following relationships are of importance to an Entity Item:
Details relationships link the Entity Item to related Exchange Element elements.
Association Of Information relationships link the Entity Item to related Entity Item elements.
UML Generalizations define Entity Item inheritance.
