Setting up default view options and compartments for a product diagram (UAF)
When an element is shown on a diagram, you can set up view options and compartments for the element's symbol on the diagram:
To set up the view options for a symbol: right-click the symbol, and then click View Options.
To set up compartments for a symbol: right-click the symbol, click Show/Hide Compartments, and then select or clear the check boxes for properties and roles as required.
If desired, you can set up default view options and compartments for the different symbols that can appear on a product diagram.
If after setting up default view options and compartments for a product diagram you want those settings to apply to new product diagrams as well, you can do so.
To set up default view options and compartments for a product diagram:
1. Open the diagram of the product for which you want to set up default view options and compartments.
2. Right-click the background of the diagram, and then click Default View Options (Profile). Modeler opens the Diagram/Default View Options dialog.
3. For each symbol type you want to set up:
a. In the left pane, select the element you want to set up.
b. On the Options tab, set up the view options for the symbol as required.
c. On the Compartments tab, select the check boxes associated with the compartments you want to show for the symbol.
4. If you want any of the default view options and compartments you have set up to apply to existing symbols on the diagram:
a. Select the Set Existing Symbols to Default Options check box.
b. In the left pane select the check boxes associated with the symbol types that you want to update on the diagram.
5. Click OK.
6. If you want the default view options and compartments you have set up to apply to new product diagrams of the same type:
◦ Right-click the product, point to Links > Stereotypes, and then click DiagramDefault.
Ensure that the «DiagramDefault» stereotype is not applied to more than one product of the same type.
