Allocating items (SysML)
You can allocate items through a Modeler pane and through a diagram.
To allocate items:
1. Right-click the item you want allocate, point to Links, point to Traceability, and then click Allocate To or Allocate From.
2. For each item you want to allocate:
a. In the Link Items browser, select the item.
b. Click the Link button.
3. Click OK.
Alternatively,
1. Right-click the item you want to allocate to or from, and then click Links > Start Link.
2. Right-click the other item you want to allocated from or to, and then click Links > End Link.
3. From the Relationship list, select the Allocated To or Allocated From as appropriate, and then click OK.
To allocate activity diagram items on an activity diagram:
1. On an Activity Diagram, create an Allocate Activity Partition to represent the SysML item:
a. Click the Allocate Activity Partition toolbar button.
b. Click in free space or within another Allocate Activity Partition.
c. On the Select Type dialog, select the item that is represented by the Allocate Activity Partition.
2. Drag that Activity Diagram item to within the Allocate Activity Partition to create an allocate relationship from the Activity Diagram item to the item represented by the Allocate Activity Partition.
If you drag the Activity Diagram item to a position outside of the Allocate Activity Partition, Modeler deletes the allocate relationship.
