Importing a Simulink model to a parametric diagram (Integration for MATLAB Simulink)
1. If you have not done so already, add the Simulink and SysML profiles to the Modeler model. How?
2. We recommend that you back up your Modeler model before importing a Simulink model to a Parametric Diagram.
3. Ensure that the Simulink model with which you are working is not open in Simulink.
4. Create an empty Parametric Diagram, right-click the Parametric Diagram, point to Tools, point to Simulink Synchronizer, and then click Synchronize.
5. Set the options on each page of Integration for MATLAB Simulink as required.
For information about the options that appear on a page of Integration for MATLAB Simulink, click the Help button.

If you are updating a Parametric Diagram from a previously imported Simulink model, on the Mapping List page, select the Integration for MATLAB Simulink Mapping you used to previously import that Simulink model.
On the Target Selection page, select the Simulink -> Modeler option.
On the Item Mapping Definitions page, if an icon indicates that an item has changed in the Modeler model (for example or ), confirm that it is acceptable for the import to overwrite those changes.
If in future you want to be able to quickly update the Parametric Diagram with any changes you make to the Simulink model, on the Save and Synchronize page click the Save and Synchronize button.
Integration for MATLAB Simulink imports the Simulink model to the Parametric Diagram.
