Overview of the TellMe utility (TellMe utility)
The TellMe utility helps you work with the Modeler automation interface by exposing the attributes and associations of the objects in a model. Typically you select an item, diagram or symbol in Modeler, and then use the TellMe utility to find out the attributes and associations of that item, diagram or symbol.
The TellMe utility has three tabs, that is, the Browser tab, Find tab and Options tab.
The Browser tab shows the top object and an association folder to represent each automation interface association the object owns. When you expand an association folder, the TellMe utility shows objects that are linked to the source object through that association. You can then expand other objects to find out about their associations and linked objects. The Details pane shows information about the object or association that is selected in the Browser.
The Find tab allows you to find objects that are linked to the object that is selected in the Browser tab.
The Options tab allows you to set up how the default top object in the Browser tab is selected on starting the TellMe utility.
If you are using the TellMe utility for the first time, ensure that you read the 'Working With the Browser Tab' and 'Working With the Find Tab' topics.
