Differencing a package with the same package in a different model
You can compare a Package with the same Package in a different model, that is, both Packages have the same underlying ID. A package with the same ID can appear in different models because of Package imports and outputs, Package sharing through the Component Sharing Wizard, cloning of models, and repository-based configuration management operations such as model versioning.
To compare a package with the same package in a different model:
1. From Modeler, open the Model that contains the Package you want to compare with the same Package in a different model.
2. Right-click the Package you want to compare, and then click Tools > Diff With Other Model.
3. From the dialog, select the other model version, and then click Open.
The differences are displayed in the Model Differencer dialog.
