Checking in new packages (CM tool integration)
1. From Modeler, check out the Package that will own the new Package. see Checking out packages for editing
2. Create the new Package in Modeler.
3. If you want to set up your CM tool's integration options, on the Modeler Tools menu, click Configuration Management Options, and then set the options as required.
Note that your CM tool may not support this feature.
4. Right-click the Package you checked out, point to Tools > Configuration Management , and then click Check In.
5. If you want to include a comment, type the comment in the Comment box.
6. Select the Check In Sub-packages check box, so that both the parent Package and the new Package are checked in.
7. If you want the Packages to remain checked out after performing the check in operation, select the Keep Checked Out check box.
8. Click OK
If you attempt to check in a diagram or sub-Package that is locked, Modeler abandons the check in operation and displays a message informing you who has the diagram or item locked. Typically a diagram will be locked because a user has the diagram open. Ask the user to close the diagram or release the diagram lock through the Lock Diagram for Edit button, and then repeat the check in operation.
9. If a message about setting rights in the CM tool is displayed, click OK.
*
To check in a new Package, you require write access to the CM tool parent Package, and Owner access permissions to the Modeler parent Package.
A new Package is checked in to the CM tool Model that owns its parent Package.
If problems occur during a check in operation, the problems are reported through either the Modeler Output pane or message boxes.
