Adding an existing alternative choice to a diagram
You can add an existing Alternative Choice to a diagram in the following ways:
Through the Alternative Choice toolbar button.
Through the Populate > Variability Dependencies command from a Variation Point.
To add an existing alternative choice through the alternative choice toolbar button:
1. Open the diagram to which you want to add an Alternative Choice.
2. On the Variant Diagram or Variability toolbar, click the Alternative Choice button.
3. Click in free space on the diagram.
4. Click the Variation Point that is linked to the Alternative Choice.
5. From the shortcut menu, click the command for the Alternative Choice you want to add.
To populate a variation point's alternative choices:
1. Open the diagram to which you want to add an Alternative Choice.
2. Right-click the Variation Point that owns the Alternative Choice, point to Populate, and then click Variability Dependencies.
Modeler populates the Variation Point's missing Alternative Choices. In addition, Modeler populates any missing Variability Dependencies for the Variation Point, adding to the diagram any Variants that are required to show those missing Variability Dependencies.
