I cannot start the PTC Synchronizer Administration Tool (Integration for PTC Integrity Lifecycle Manager)
This problem can be caused by antivirus software preventing communication through the loopback IP address (127.0.0.1).
We experienced this problem when using ESET Endpoint Antivirus. To resolve this problem for our installation of ESET Endpoint Antivirus, we set up ESET Endpoint Antivirus to exclude the loopback IP address (127.0.0.1) from protocol filtering.
The steps that follow are correct at the time of writing.
To set up ESET Endpoint Antivirus to exclude the loopback IP address (127.0.0.1) from protocol filtering:
1. Open the ESET Endpoint Antivirus main program window.
2. In the left pane, click Setup.
3. In the right pane, click Enter Advanced Setup.
4. In the left pane, expand the Web and Email entry.
5. Expand the Protocol Filtering entry.
6. Select the Excluded IP Addresses entry.
7. Click the Add IPv4 Address button.
8. As a Single Address, enter 127.0.0.1, and then click OK.
9. From the Advanced Setup page, click OK.
