At the time of generation, using the item or diagram selected in Modeler as the assigned item (Publisher)
Through the Use Active Model Its As Source property, you can set up a document structure item so that at the time of generation, the item or diagram that is selected in Modeler is used as the assigned item.
To use the selected item or diagram in Modeler as an assigned item at the time of generation:
1. Using the model item type of the model item or diagram you want to use at the time of generation, add the model item type to the document structure. To know more, refer to Adding model item types (diagram and item types) to the document structure (Publisher).
The type of the model item type you add must match the type of the item or diagram you select in Model when generating output.
2. In the document structure, select the document structure item.
3. In the Properties pane, set the Use Active Model Item As Source property to True.
At the time of generation, Publisher will use the item or diagram that is selected (or was last selected) in Modeler as the assigned item for the document structure item, assuming that the type of the item or diagram in Modeler matches the assigned model item type for the document structure item in Publisher. If the type does not match, Publisher ignores the selected item or diagram in Modeler and does not generate anything for the document structure item.
Note that the Use Active Model Item As Source property is used only when a model item type is the assigned item. Although available for an assigned model item, the Use Active Model Item As Source property is ignored when the assigned item is a model item.
