Modeler model and DOORS module selection page (Integration for IBM Rational DOORS)
This page of Integration for IBM Rational DOORS allows you to specify the high-level settings for the Integration for IBM Rational DOORS Mapping.
In addition to the common navigation buttons, the following controls appear on this page of Integration for IBM Rational DOORS.
Mapping group:
Name box - displays or specifies the name of the Mapping. The Name box is available only when creating a new Mapping.
PTC Integrity Modeler Model group:
Model box - displays the name of the Modeler Model that owns (or is to own) the Integration for IBM Rational DOORS Mapping.
Root box - displays the name of the Root item (the Model or a Package) in the Modeler Model that is being mapped. Model items scoped to the root item or its sub-packages can be included in the synchronization.
Select button - opens a dialog for you to select the root item in the Modeler Model.
IBM Rational DOORS Module group:
Formal box - displays the path of the DOORS Formal Module that is being used for the mapping.
Select (for Formal) button - opens a dialog for you to select the DOORS Formal Module you want to use for the Mapping. The dialog also allows you to create a new DOORS Formal Module to use.
Baseline list - lists the baselines of the selected module, and allows you to select a baseline of the selected module to work with.
If you select a previous baseline, you can perform only a DOORS -> Modeler synchronization using a Requirements mapping. Restrictions apply when importing Requirements from a previous baseline of a module. Tell me more...
Root box - displays the name of the root object in the selected DOORS Formal Module that is being used for the mapping.
AbsNo box - displays the DOORS Absolute Number attribute value of the selected root object in the selected DOORS Formal Module. If the Module is the root object, Module is shown.
Select (for Root) button - opens a dialog for you to select the DOORS root object for the mapping.
In the dialog that is opened, only objects that are not involved in a DOORS mapping are available for selection.
If an object has a red exclamation mark on its icon, the object has been used as the root item for a requirements mapping of another model. You can import requirements and their associated items and links from a shared root object, but you must do so using a uni-directional synchronization from DOORS to Modeler, else Integration for IBM Rational DOORS will delete objects from DOORS. Tell me more...
Link box - displays the path of the DOORS Link Module that is being used for the mapping. If you do not specify a Link Module to use, Integration for IBM Rational DOORS creates one if necessary named '<formal module name> Links'.
Select (for Link) button - opens a dialog for you to select the DOORS Link Module you want to use for the Mapping. The dialog also allows you to select or create a new DOORS Link Module to use.
Change the Default View to “Artisan DOORS View” check box - controls the whether the Default View is changed as part of the synchronization. The check box is selected by default. Clear the check box if you do not want the Default View to be changed.
