Working with baselined modules (Integration for IBM Rational DOORS)
You can import Requirements from a previous baseline of a module using a Requirements mapping, and you can specify the baseline of a module to use for target links.
Importing requirements from a previous baseline of a module
By default, Integration for IBM Rational DOORS works with the current (latest) baseline of the selected module. You can import Requirements from a previous baseline of a module.
To import Requirements from a previous baseline of a module: on the Modeler Model and DOORS Module Selection page, in the Baseline list select the baseline from which you want to import.
Previous baselines of a module are read-only and cannot be updated by the Synchronization. When you select a previous baseline of a module, the following limitations apply:
The Mapping Type is set to Requirement mapping.
The Object Synchronization Direction and Link Synchronization Direction are both set to DOORS -> Modeler.
Requirements in the selected baseline that have never been synchronized cannot be imported by Integration for IBM Rational DOORS.
After importing Requirements from a previous baseline of a module to a Modeler model, you will not be able to use the View in Modeler in DOORS to navigate from those Requirements in DOORS to the imported items in Modeler, because the Requirements in DOORS cannot be updated with the location of the associated Modeler items.
*
Importing a baseline of a DOORS module can result in the unexpected deletion of relationships in a Modeler model:
When a module is baselined in DOORS, links to modules that are not part of the same baseline set are echoed. Integration for IBM Rational DOORS does not recognise echoed links in a DOORS module, which means when importing a baseline of a Module from DOORS, Integration for IBM Rational DOORS deletes from the Modeler model any relationships that are mapped to echoed links in that DOORS module.
Specifying a baseline of a module to use for target links
By default, when Integration for IBM Rational DOORS creates links to a module, it creates links to the current (latest) baseline of that module.
You can make Integration for IBM Rational DOORS work with a previous baseline of a module when creating target links to that module.
To specify the baseline of a module to use for target links: on the Target Modules for Outgoing Links page, add the module, and the set the baseline you want to use. Tell me more...
