Changing a principal role on a database (Model Explorer)
To change a principal role:
1. Start Model Explorer.
For more information, refer to Starting Model Explorer.
2. In the left navigation pane, expand the SQL icon.
3. Expand the server that contains the database where you want to change a principal role.
4. Right-click on the database, point to Principals, then click Change Principal Role....
5. In the Change Principal Role dialog box, select a user or a group from the drop-down list.
6. To change the principal role to an Administrator, select the Admin check box.
Alternatively, to change the principal to a standard user, clear the Admin check box.
7. Click OK.
8. Confirm that the Principal role changed successfully message appears.
